Day 1 Meeting the Children: By Jasmine Santoyo Thursday, February 4, 2021 My first day at my field experience was pretty great. The staff was welcoming and the kids were just adorable! At first they were very shy, but it didn't take long for them to warm up to me and sure enough they were coming up all at once showing me all their toys. I got to know each child's personality and their level of development, which gave me ideas of how I can create my lesson plan that will work well with this group of children. My goals for next week is to start working with the children more on small play activities that can help me see further on how far they are in labeling objects, numbers, and colors. I believe that one of my strengths so far has been being familiar with being around infants because of family. I've been taking care of children since I was 17.
